A new Vietnamese restaurant is slated to join East Village. Moc Mac is planning to open at 77 Second Avenue, according to community board filings.

Plans call for 12 tables that will seat 48, as well as one stand-up bar in the space. The proposed hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, according to the filed paperwork.

Currently, details regarding the menu remain unknown.

The team behind Moc Mac is also behind High Lúa Vietnamese Kitchen, which has been open in Brooklyn since 2018. The menu there features dishes like pho, grilled pork, lemongrass chicken and a variety of banh mi options. It also serves Asian beers and has some sake options.

As of now, an opening timeline for Moc Mac remains unclear. Efforts to reach ownership for additional details prior to publication were unsuccessful.
