The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) is preparing to bring an exciting new addition to the city’s entertainment scene with its planned music hall development downtown. While details about the forthcoming bar inside the venue are still limited, the addition underscores CAPA’s continued commitment to enhancing the cultural and social fabric of Columbus.

Founded in 1969, CAPA is a cornerstone of the city’s performing arts community. The nonprofit manages several of Columbus’ most treasured venues, including the Ohio Theatre, Palace Theatre, and Southern Theatre, hosting a wide variety of performances that range from Broadway productions to local arts showcases. With this new music hall, CAPA is extending its reach, aiming to provide a versatile space that blends live performance with the lively social atmosphere of a bar and gathering place.

The venue will be situated downtown, where development continues to surge. Surrounded by restaurants, cultural institutions, and other entertainment destinations, the music hall’s future bar will give patrons another option to enjoy before or after shows, helping to anchor the area as a go-to hub for nightlife and the arts.
