During the inspection at N&N Creole Soul Kitchen, inspectors observed that proper handwashing facilities were not provided at the facility, as the sink was obstructed and inaccessible.
According to regulations, food items required to be held at temperatures between 50°F and 130°F without any other intervention were not stored. Inspectors found live insects and rodents at the facility. Food cans at the restaurant were reused to store food and equipment.
Inspectors observed that wet wiping cloths used repeatedly were not held in an approved sanitizing solution. Damaged walls and accumulated food debris along the perimeters were also noted.
The violations could cause foodborne illness. Therefore, the officials instructed the facility to close temporarily and eliminate all the violations. Once the compliance is reinstated, the restaurant will be able to serve safe and hygienic food.
