Smalls Sliders, the rapidly growing Atlanta-based burger chain brand, is preparing to open its first Colorado location, according to the Denver Business Journal. The new store is under construction at 1831 E 120th Ave. in Northglenn, and it’s the first of many.

Co-franchisee Nick Ralls told What Now Denver that the current projected opening is planned for the end of the year. They experienced some delays with the county, but started building in February and are wrapping up on construction soon.

It will mark the beginning of a new territory for the company, and the first unit out of ten that his group, Mountain Sliders LLC, has agreed to open in the metro area. The deal was announced last year by QSR Web.

Smalls Sliders specializes in fresh, cooked-to-order cheeseburger sliders, waffle fries, milkshakes, and spicy queso. Its menu is designed to be small but packed with flavor. Locations are built as modular designs from shipping containers, with drive-thrus and outdoor seating.
