A new fast-casual Japanese concept from restaurateur Byungmoon Chun is set to debut in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, according to ConnectCRE.
Tsuki Shokudo has leased a portion of the 23 Mercer St. space, totaling 1,575 square feet.
Queen Anne, a historic Seattle neighborhood overlooking Elliott Bay and the Space Needle, blends residential charm with city life, with boutiques, cafes and restaurants adding to its appeal.
The neighborhood’s dining scene includes a growing lineup of Japanese restaurants, from Shiki Japanese Restaurant, known for its traditional cuisine, to Ikiiki Sushi, offering casual sushi and stir-fry and Moontree Sushi & Tapas, which blends Japanese dishes with a tapas-style approach. Vegan-focused Sushi Samurai also brings innovative plant-based sushi to the neighborhood. Tsuki Shokudo is set to join this mix, adding another option for lovers of Japanese cuisine.
The new restaurant will open across from Moontree, which Chun also owns. Additionally, he is a part-owner of Nohm Sushi Bar, the outlet reported.
What Now Seattle reached out to the Tsuki Shokudo team, however, they have not yet responded. This article may be updated.
