Celebrating Two Decades of La Cocina
La Cocina has been a nonprofit kitchen incubator for 20 years. It helps women, immigrants, and people of color turn their food dreams into successful businesses in the Bay Area.
Founded in 2005, La Cocina provides resources and support to talented food entrepreneurs, helping them build businesses that uplift their families and communities.
Since their founding, they have helped more than 160 businesses and supported nearly 50 brick-and-mortar locations, creating over 250 jobs throughout the Bay Area. 70% of their graduates remain active to this day.
“La Cocina entrepreneurs generate more than $20 million annually,” said Executive Director Leticia Landa. “This festival proves that when talent finally meets opportunity, entire communities thrive.”
The festival partners with Noise Pop, providing a live music stage; Mission Rock, offering the venue; San Francisco Cocktail Club, serving beverages; and sponsors including VISA, U.S. Bank, San Francisco Magazine, and Carnaval SF.
The festival’s return highlights the Bay Area’s diverse food culture and community impact. This year’s event marks La Cocina’s 20th anniversary and spotlights the contributions of its chefs and community.
