The team that brought acclaimed Mediterranean spot Elis Wine Bar and Restaurant to the Upper West Side is seeking to expand its footprint in the city. It is looking to open a new concept, Turi’s, at 302 Broome Street, according to community board filings.

Co-owner Artur Gjaci told What Now New York that Turi’s will be an upscale Mediterranean restaurant-bar concept. Stretched across two stories, one floor of the restaurant will be dedicated to the dining experience and the other floor will offer more of a lounge experience.

Expect a sophisticated atmosphere with healthy food offerings alongside signature and classic cocktails. The proposed menu filed with the paperwork includes items like oysters; salads; pastas such as ricotta spinach ravioli, cacio e pepe and penne primavera; appetizers like ceviche, beef tartare and octopus; and entrees such as filet mignon, salmon and tuna steak.

Plans indicate that there will be 29 tables with 95 seats, as well as two bars with 26 stools. The proposed hours of operation are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday and Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Gjaci said that they are hoping to replicate their success with Elis Wine Bar and Restaurant and aim even higher with Turi’s.

“With that concept, we did very well up there. So we’re trying to bring that concept with a little higher scale to this neighborhood,” Gjaci said. “We’re just trying to get more, get higher and get bigger and better.”

The team is aiming to open in a few months, though the exact opening timeline depends on licensing.
