Flourish Plant Shop & Wine Bar is set to offer the best of both worlds when it opens at 5003 Airport Blvd. in late October.
The blossoming, vibrant winery is set to hold a grand opening on Oct. 24th, according to a press release sent to What Now Austin.
The new botanical wine fused concept bloomed out of the minds of Rachel Roberts and Dale Ellington, two figures who have made a name for themselves in the Austin hospitality space. Robert’s background includes stints at Fonda San Miguel and Tacodeli. Ellington comes with more than 13 years of wine expertise. The two lifelong friends are looking forward to bringing this floral fragrance-rich wine experience to the Central Austin community.
“The belief that wine should bring joy, not intimidation, is what led us to create Flourish,” Ellingtons said.
“We wanted to build a place that felt like an exhale. A space where people could be surrounded by natural beauty, drink incredible wines, and actually relax. A plant and wine spa, if you will.”
Flourish Plant Shop & Wine Bar will have a plethora of efflorescent items to shop from. Guests are invited to shop a “curated collection of houseplants and gifts” all while sipping on an extensive collection of wines.
The By the Glass selection is expected to rotate more than two dozen whites, reds, and sparkling wines.
By the Bottle, guests can discover wines from classic and emerging regions — including France, Italy, Spain, Austria, South Africa, Texas, and women-led wineries — ranging from crisp Loire Valley Sancerres and silky Burgundian Pinots to lush Priorat reds and playful pét-nats.
But of course, food is a must to pair with this sweet and aromatic experience.
Flourish Plant Shop & Wine Bar’s food menu offers simple yet elevated items to pair with “great wine and good company.” There will be “perfectly paired” small plates, shareable meat and cheese boards, preserved seafood, and refined snacks like Castelvetrano olives, Marcona almonds, and housemade potato chips.
