Buckhead Village is continuing its expansion with new tenants, according to a release. Rothy’s will bring its sustainable fashion to the shopping center, with plans to open in late fall in a 2,100-square-foot space next door to Lucchese.

This location will be the second for the brand in Atlanta. Rothy’s already has one location open in West Midtown at the Westside Provisions District.

Founders Stephen Hawthornthwaite and Roth Martin launched the brand in 2016 in San Francisco with a mission to merge fashion with the aim of helping the planet. It is known for its sustainable footwear, bags and accessories made with recycled plastic. Products are designed to be both environmentally-conscious and fashionable, evolving with trends and seasonal styles.

Since its inception, Rothy’s has transformed more than 200 million plastic bottles into fashion pieces by utilizing a knit-to-shape process that converts plastic waste into wearable materials. In its mission to create a zero-waste approach to fashion, Rothy’s has created its Signature Thread, ReVelvet, Natural Hemp and RSW-Certified Merino Wool materials.

The brand currently has 17 stores open across the U.S., with spots open in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and Washington, D.C. It has five spots open internationally, including locations in Australia, Paris and London.

Other tenants, including French furniture designer Roche Bobois, lifestyle brand Hill House Home and London-based womenswear brand ME+EM, are also heading to Buckhead Village.
