East Mesa folks could be sipping on freshly brewed beer in the coming months when O.H.S.O. Brewery & Distilling comes to town.

The brewery inked a lease with SimonCRE for a spot at Medina Station, according to The Mesa Tribune. The deal is part of a bigger picture for the new multi-use center, which envisions a “restaurant row” of five “high-quality” restaurants in its plans. At this point, no completion date has been set.

Known for its people and dog-friendly vibes, O.H.S.O. Brewery has six taprooms throughout the Greater Phoenix area. O.H.S.O. (short for “Outrageous Home Brewer’s Social Outpost”) was founded in 2011 by Jon Lane, who wanted to create a space for people to not only drink good beer — but to create it themselves.

Today, most people come to drink beer from brew master Bret Waters, though home brewers can take their turn at the Arcadia location (only).  Beers rotate seasonally and can include Boom Dynamite IPA, Popcycle Blonde, 89 Amber Ale, and Lost Viking Nitro Porter. The company also turns out hard seltzers. O.H.S.O. also brews a special “988” beer, named for the suicide prevention hotline number, to help create awareness.

O.H.S.O. is also a dog-friendly space that offers outdoor patios, water stations, a dog-friendly menu, and dedicated dog parks in some locations.
