DFW sweet enthusiasts can look forward to having their cake and eating it too, thanks to an expanding bakery chain. Nothing Bundt Cakes-under the seasoned direction of the Frostin City Limits franchise group-has filed papers to open a new location in Prosper.

The popular concept is bringing its sweet treats to 5600 W University Drive, Suite 10. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, renovations will begin on the 1,805 square foot building on November 17 of this year. Work is projected to wrap by February 23 of 2026. While this does not provide a definitive opening timeline, it does seem to point towards a late winter or early spring debut.

As the name suggests, Nothing Bundt Cakes focuses on serving up the titular baked good. The bundts come in an array of sizes and flavors certain to accommodate every visitor’s needs. The bakery, founded in 1997, has proven enormously successful-the chain has nearly 700 locations open across the United States.

Future Prosper customers can rest assured that they are in good hands. Alongside its truly excellent name, franchisee group Frostin City Limits has considerable experience helming the concept, owning and operating multiple locations across the greater Austin region.
