A new Mediterranean concept is coming to Celina East, on the development’s east side near Little Caesars. According to public filings, Gyro Haus is planned for Celina East Shops B, at 305 E. Ownsby Parkway, Suite 155.
What Now Dallas spoke with Toni Mehmedi, the Celina restaurateur behind Celina Star Cafe and the recently announced Brunch Factory, who confirmed that the opening will mark his third concept in the city. The owner said Gyro Haus is targeting a late-spring to early-summer 2027 opening, pending permits.
Gyro Haus menu will center on gyros made with chicken, lamb, falafel, and beef, with additional options including full plates, Greek salad, fries, hummus, and dirty sodas. According to Toni, this concept is different from Brunch Factory, which What Now Dallas recently reported on.
Mehmedi has operated Celina Star Cafe, a neighborhood breakfast spot, for nearly a decade. With Gyro Haus and Brunch Factory, he said he’s aiming to offer something different from that original mom-and-pop concept.
“I want to provide the best service and food I can to the community here in Celina,” Mehmedi said, adding that he loves Celina and has recognized its growth as an oportunity.
Asked about further expansion beyond these three concepts, Mehmedi said he’d eventually like to grow Gyro Haus and Brunch Factory into multiple locations, citing their smaller, more replicable format compared to a full-service cafe.
For now, though, Toni said his focus remains on Celina itself. “I’m just excited to bring a whole new twist to the Celina area,” he said.
