Michelin-starred chef Sungchul Shim’s HWARO, a modern American-style steakhouse with Korean roots, debuted in Manhattan’s Theater District this October. Guests can enjoy a 13-course tasting menu priced at $295 per person, served at a 22-seat circular chef’s counter offering an up-close view of the kitchen.

The space features natural wood tones accented with handcrafted Korean details. To complement the bold tasting menu, HWARO serves handcrafted cocktails inspired by traditional Korean flavors. Learn more about the restaurant here.

McCabe’s Wine & Spirits

McCabe’s Wine & Spirits reopened on October 16, after major renovations and designing wider aisles and a new tasting area. The shop expanded its wine and spirits selection by 35%, adding options such as Burgundy, Champagne, tequila, and kosher wines. Currently, the restaurant is headed by Daniel Mesznik, an exceptional wine expert.

A renowned Sicilian pastry brand, Fiasconaro, opened its first U.S. flagship on October 16. Guests at the ribbon-cutting included Italian Consul General Fabrizio Di Michele, astronaut Luca Parmitano, and actress Whoopi Goldberg. The celebration featured live music, cultural performances, and samples of Sicilian treats.
