The acclaimed José Andrés Group is bringing multiple concepts to Nashville next year. In addition to its Mediterranean concept Zaytinya, the group is planning to bring Bar Mar to W Nashville in the Gulch in early 2026.
Bar Mar will offer classic seafood dishes alongside a globally-inspired selection of meat. The Nashville location will mark the second for the concept, joining an existing location in Chicago.
The menu features a raw bar, sandwiches, lobster and tuna tartare rolls, shellfish platters and entrees like seared king salmon, Mediterranean sea bass and short rib and frites. It also offers a cocktail and wine list.
In terms of design, expect a bright, elegant atmosphere with nautical touches.
The new locations will usher the José Andrés Group into a new U.S. city. The group already has a presence in Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Orlando and Washington D.C, and The Bahamas.
“Few cities blend booming growth with soul like Nashville — and partnering with W Nashville offered the ultimate stage to share our creations with a city where music, food and creativity come together in perfect harmony,” Sam Bakhshandehpour, CEO of José Andrés Group, said in the release. “The hotel’s design and spaces offered the perfect canvas for our creations. Choosing to start our next chapter in Nashville felt natural — it’s a place that celebrates authenticity, and that’s exactly what we plan to bring to the table.”
Current food and beverage offerings at W Nashville include Proof Rooftop Bar, Living Room, Carne Mare Italian Chophouse and Barista Parlor. It is unclear where Bar Mar will fit into the layout of the hotel at this time.
