We are in a golden era of healthy dining. For a long time diners had to choose between speed, taste, and nutrition-the three seldom overlapped. However modern chains are increasingly allowing guests to have it all. One DMV concept is particularly focused on ensuring diners don’t have to sacrifice flavor, time, or health-and it has expansion on the mind. Puree Juice Bar, a chain focused on cold-pressed juices, organic smoothies, and delicious, sustaining food, is opening its next regional location in Georgetown-and future customers have less than a year to wait until its debut.

Puree Juice Bar co-owner Dyala Madani generously confirmed with What Now DC that the new storefront will be opening at 1511 Wisconsin Ave NW, in the current Solbiato space. Madani explains that moving the chain into the neighborhood will allow Puree to broaden its reach to a welcoming demographic. “Georgetown…gives us the opportunity to introduce Purée to a wider audience in a historic, walkable neighborhood that’s full of energy and wellness-minded residents and visitors.”

Madani and Kaveh Shirazi took over ownership of Puree from founder Amy Waldman earlier this year, and while they have no intentions of radically altering a well-loved brand, they do have a unique vision for the future, which Madani describes as: “reimagining the experience to feel warmer, more modern, and more community focused. We are working with a wonderful branding agency who is helping us with a beautiful re-brand of Purée’s look and feel which we’re excited to share in the coming months.”

The changes will transcend just the aesthetic. Madani explains: “We are expanding our food and hot drinks menu as well as our delicious organic soups. The goal is to evolve without losing the authenticity that our loyal customers love.”

Puree brings something wholly unique to the DMV dining scene-something Georgetown residents are certain to delight in. Madani describes it as: “Think of Purée as clean, nutrient-dense fuel for a vibrant lifestyle crafted with care, sustainability, and transparency at its heart. We are the only truly raw, organic, cold pressed juice serving the DMV area and are proud to ship our juices frozen nationally.”

Georgetown residents can look forward to stopping into Puree for a refreshing sip or nourishing bite next spring. Madani states that she and her team anticipate opening the storefront in May of 2026, in a location that will: “…reflect the Purée ethos – vibrant, health-conscious communities that value quality, sustainability, and local connection.”
