Los Angeles’ dining scene is welcoming a wave of new restaurant openings. Last week’s announcements showcase a mix of global flavors and unique dining concepts coming to the city.

Coming Soon: New Restaurants in Los Angeles

Los Angeles will soon see a new brewpub, a pizzeria, a Mongolian grill, and a Japanese conveyor belt sushi chain. Here’s a roundup of the city’s newest restaurant openings, reported by WhatNow last week.

Kura Sushi

Kura Sushi, a Japanese-inspired conveyor belt sushi chain, is opening a new location in Canoga Park. The new spot will be located in Canoga Park at 6600 Topanga Canyon Boulevard inside Westfield Topanga.

The restaurant will feature a revolving sushi belt with signature dishes and traditional Japanese offerings. The LA location marks the restaurant’s continued expansion.

Truly Pizza

With its third location, Truly Pizza is coming to Venice Beach at 1237–1239 Abbot Kinney Boulevard and will replace Greenleaf Kitchen & Cocktails.

Truly Pizza is known for its artisanal pies, charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and a selection of local wines and craft beers.

Sun’s Wok and Mongolian BBQ

Replacing the former Toasted Bun space in Van Nuys at 14445 Sherman Way, Sun’s Wok and Mongolian BBQ is opening soon. The fast-casual BBQ spot will offer build-your-own bowls, a Mongolian grill, fresh ingredients, and a hot buffet.

The restaurant will also offer a self-service cold bar stocked with chicken, pork, beef, broccoli, cabbage, bell peppers, onions, cilantro, baby corn, and more.

Customers can customize with noodles, including lo mein, giving a unique experience with every meal. Know more about the restaurant here.

Shadow Grove Brewing

The North Hollywood at 5249 Lankershim Boulevard is also welcoming a brewpub by Shadow Grove Brewing. Where the Creatures Sleep at Shadow Grove’s opening date is not announced yet, but the pub will open on the former District Pub space.

Founded by longtime friends Ron Dembowski and Tom Clark, the brewery is known for its inventive global beers. The new North Hollywood location is expected to feature the brewery’s signature experimental beers, seasonal releases, and welcoming community atmosphere.
