S.A.L.T. Sea and Land Tacos is opening a Mesa location.

The taqueria that marries treasures of the sea with the bounty of the land, is planning to open a restaurant at 2853 S. Sossaman Road in Mesa, at the Shops at Sossaman. A permit application has been filed with the city, and no opening date has been announced.

S.A.L.T., which operated from a brewery, then provided tacos throughout the Greater Phoenix area from a food truck, is putting down roots. The restaurant has traded in its mobile kitchen for a brick-and-mortar, announcing on Facebook, “We wanted to share some news. Someone came in today and bought our food truck, so it’s officially gone. It’s a bittersweet moment, but also an exciting new chapter for us,” adding, “our focus is on getting the restaurant open as soon as possible, and we can’t wait to welcome you there soon”.

S.A.L.T. owners Enrique and Keren Uresti start with blue corn tortillas for their tacos, filling them with various proteins like fish, shrimp, carne asada, octopus, and more. The menu also includes shrimp cocktails, tostadas, burritos, bowls, and burgers. S.A.L.T. also offers catering services, providing tacos and food for private events, parties, and any other occasion where tacos are welcome.
