Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is looking to grow in the Jacksonville area. The chain has plans to add another location at Durban Park, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.
The brand only has one other location open in the Jacksonville area. Other locations in Florida include two spots in Miami and one in Orlando.
The menu features 21-day-aged steaks that are hand-trimmed and hardwood grilled. Options include filet mignon, bleu cheese filet, aged ribeye, roasted garlic sirloin and surf and turf. Seafood dishes such as Chilean sea bass and lobster fondue salmon are also on the menu, as well as chicken, ribs, pork chops, burgers and salads.
The brand, which originated in Charlotte, has 70 restaurants listed on its website, largely in the Eastern U.S. aside from five locations in Arizona.
Investment firm Garnett Station Partners acquired the brand in 2023. Garnett Station invests in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, health and wellness and automotive brands.
Existing restaurants at the Durban Park development include JANA Steakhouse and Keke’s Breakfast Cafe.
The new Firebirds Wood Fired Grill appears to be in the early stages of filings and development. An opening timeline remains unclear at this time. What Now Jacksonville has reached out to Firebirds for more information.
