Landmark Properties, a fully-integrated real estate firm specializing in the development, construction, acquisition, investment management and operations, announced the official groundbreaking of The Mark Tampa, a six-story luxury student housing community delivering ahead of the 2027-2028 academic school year.

During the ceremony, Landmark Properties presented a $10,000 donation to The Lions World Vision Institute, a Tampa-based nonprofit. The donation will support the nonprofit’s mission to restore sight for individuals who suffer from blindness globally and advance the future of sight restoration through research, innovation and education.

“At Landmark, we’re focused on building communities that elevate the student living experience and contribute positively to the neighborhoods we serve,” said Chase Powell, Senior Director of Development at Landmark Properties in a statement. “The Mark Tampa will offer first-class amenities, modern living spaces and walkable access to campus.”

Located at 2700 University Square Drive, the 807-bed community will serve students attending the University of South Florida and the surrounding area. Once complete, the development will offer a mix of studios through five-bedroom floor plans across 215 units totaling approximately 270,500 square feet of residential space.

The pet-friendly community will include more than 25,000 square feet of amenities, including a rooftop pool deck, clubhouse, jumbotron, sports simulator, sauna and cold plunge, computer lab, fitness center and more. Situated on a 4.31-acre site, the building will also feature on-site parking for approximately 647 cars and 988 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Representatives from Landmark’s leadership team as well as project partners from Canyon Partners Real Estate, Peninsula Investments and Kennedy Wilson attended the event, along with local community members.
