A critically lauded pizza chain has expansion on the mind and Virginia in its sights. Sally’s Apizza is planning to open 255 new locations, with 15 of them destined for The Old Dominion, reports Patch.

The celebrated Connecticut based pizzeria is making a push to “transform the dine-in pizza landscape”. The brand, which has been serving up delicious pies since 1938, has not yet announced any specific locations; the Virginia storefronts are still in the preliminary stages.

Sally’s Apizza has earned celebrity recognition thanks to its unique approach to one of the world’s favorite foods. Each pie is baked in a 3,000 degree fahrenheit oven with a freshly grated cheese blend. Alongside the delicious and craveable pizza, Sally’s seeks to create a full and memorable hospitality experience. Each restaurant will have a full cocktail bar.

Sally’s has been shouted out by Dave Portnoy, a veritable king maker in the pizza world. While the chain currently only has 7 locations open and operational, it is well on its way to wowing diners across the country, bringing hot slices and delicious pies to fanatics across 12 states in the next few years.
