A burgeoning new java chain is preparing to open a new location at The District in Tustin later this year. Jabal Coffee House, an emerging beverage brand specializing in Yemeni coffee, is working on a franchise unit at the shopping complex, Orange County Health Care Agency records show. The address will be 2483 Park Avenue, Suite S004J.

“We’re excited to bring Jabal — The Elevated Coffee House Experience — to Orange County. Our goal is to create more than just a coffee house. We’re building a space that celebrates culture, craftsmanship, and community,” franchise owners Ali Mohamed and Huda Munjy told What Now OC.

Mohamed and Munjy secured a ten-year lease for the location, a ground-floor retail space that occupies approximately 2,500 square feet. Construction is set to begin following permit approvals, with a targeted opening for fall 2026. The new coffee house is expected to employ around 25 staff members.

First opened in Michigan in 2023, Jabal Coffee House has since also expanded to another location in Canada, and its website showcases serious growth plans. More than a dozen new units are expected to debut this year, all across the country, spanning New England, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Virginia, Illinois, and North Carolina as well.

Jabal, meaning “mountain” in Arabic, reflects the high-altitude origins of Yemeni coffee. Java beans from this region are grown in mountain farms of the Arabian Peninsula and roasted in the sun.
