SIMONMILLER, the Los Angeles–based lifestyle brand featuring ready-to-wear, footwear, bags, and jewelry, has announced its Miami flagship store located in the vibrant Little River neighborhood. This marks the brand’s first East Coast storefront and second brick-and-mortar location. SIMONMILLER’s newest concept occupies two 1,000-square-foot casitas connected by lush tropical gardens, located at 7406 NW Miami Ct.
“The location truly says it all. Two newly renovated casitas, anchored by authentic Miami-Dade teak peaked ceilings and filled with natural light, are connected by a vibrant tropical garden,” said CEO and Creative Director Chelsea Hansford in a statement. “It was an obvious choice to join Little River the moment I laid eyes on the property. I love the culture being cultivated there as it becomes, in my opinion, one of Miami’s most exciting emerging neighborhoods for food, art—and next, fashion.”
A fusion of fashion, art, and design collectibles, the store’s casitas merge two complementary worlds: bold 1970s Italian mod disco and vibrant artisanal sunny Mexico. The first casita is set against a sun-drenched canvas of yellow contrasted with vibrant fuchsia trims and cascading raffias. All of this color is brought to life through a partnership with Mexican-born design company Mestiz, whose bold colored cedar wood carved tables and tule woven lounge chairs are sold within the store and sit alongside custom jagged-edge sapele wood mirrors and benches. Soaring Miami-Dade teak beamed ceilings add texture and drama, creating a space that is as playful as it is fiercely crafted. Anchoring the space is a wall hanging a 4-foot-large, hand-crafted fuchsia flower by Mestiz.
The second casita, known as the accessories salon, transports visitors to an Italian disco circa early ’70s, inspired by the Verner Panton era. Rich blues envelop the space, inviting guests to sink into the round conversation couch and linger beneath an impressive red and orange Verner Panton ball chandelier. The walls are layered with dramatic arches in contrast blues accented with oil on canvas works from longtime friend Peter Keil, who is releasing 50 one-of-a-kind limited edition ‘marker on paper’ sketches in celebration of the store; the oil on canvas works are also for sale in the space. The overall ambiance pulses with an electric energy that creates a space that is as immersive as it is unforgettable.
Situated just north of the Design District, SIMONMILLER joins AJ Capital Partners’ 27-acre adaptive reuse and mixed-use development in Little River, signifying Miami’s epicenter for culture, cuisine, and the arts. SIMONMILLER is part of an expanding roster of cultural and creative brands and businesses in the neighborhood, including Miami-based jewelry brand éliou; Sunny’s, a nationally recognized restaurant by Will Thompson and Carey Hynes of Jaguar Sun; Bar Bucce, an Italian restaurant and market by Jacqueline and Michael Pirolo of Macchialina; and the highly anticipated reopening of one of Miami’s most beloved eateries, Fooq’s, in January.
Located at 7406 NW Miami Ct. across from Sunny’s, SIMONMILLER store hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, visit simonmillerusa.com or follow @simonmillerusa on Instagram.
