After news broke of a new move by Buddy Brew Coffee, the local coffee chain with locations throughout Tampa, to open several new outposts inside local Sprouts Farmers Market locations, the expansion turns out to be at a much larger scale than originally anticipated. With two locations already confirmed for two Sprouts Farmers Markets, three additional locations have now appeared in plan review documents submitted by Buddy Brew.
The additional Buddy Brew Coffees would open inside the Sprouts Farmers Markets at the following locations:
- Riverview: 12960 US-301
- Tampa: 1523 S Dale Mabry Hwy
- Palm Harbor: 33652 US Highway 19 N
Bokors Corner reported that the Valrico location, at least, will “occupy the front portion of the [Sprouts Farmers Market] interior space.” It’s not yet known how consistent the design will be at the locations in question.
“WE’RE SPROUTING,” says a post published on Instagram by Buddy Brew Coffee. “We couldn’t be more excited to share that 10 new Buddy Brew cafés are opening inside Sprouts Farmers Market locations across Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida later this year. Stay tuned for more details!”
The two locations already confirmed are as follows:
- Tampa: 15110 N Dale Mabry Highway
- Valrico: 3315 Lithia Pinecrest Rd
“Each in-store café will offer Buddy Brew’s espresso drinks, cold brew, specialty beverages and food items, giving shoppers the option to purchase coffee while grocery shopping,” says another Instagram post by Tampa Bay Business & Wealth.
“Our success is rooted in a simple motto that affects everything we do: ‘Brew Good. Do Good,’” says the Buddy Brew website. “That mission is lived out through a commitment to sourcing specialty grade coffees through direct relationships with farmers. We work with smallholder coffee farmers and women-owned co-ops, always paying highly equitable prices so these farmers can thrive.”
Buddy Brew Coffee CEO Dave Ward could not be reached immediately for comment on the expansion.
