DFW steak enthusiasts are getting a new chance to satisfy their meat cravings, thanks to an American restaurant icon. Texas Roadhouse has filed a permit to open a new outpost in Granbury, with construction set to start this summer.

The beloved steakhouse will be getting a brand new building located next to the Mattressville store located at 4061 East US Highway 377. The paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the restaurant shows that it will span 7,926 square feet and will feature a bar.

Granbury locals still have a bit of a wait ahead of them before marking the signs of progress on Texas Roadhouse’s new location; work isn’t set to begin until July 13 of this year. Hope springs eternal, however, that the eatery will be customer-ready before 2027. Construction is projected to wrap by October 19, which could bode well for a later autumn or early winter opening.

Texas Roadhouse-ironically enough, founded in Indiana and headquartered in Kentucky-first entered the dining scene in 1993. It has proven an absolute juggernaut, both domestically and internationally, with around 800 locations open in the US and another 70 in 11 countries. The restaurant can credit its enduring popularity to its commitment to great cuisine described as “Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides, Ice-Cold Beer, and of course, our irresistible Fresh-Baked Bread”.
