World-famous for its appearance in an episode of the legendary TV sitcom Seinfeld (among others), H&H Bagels has long been a New York bagel favorite. In recent years, however, the brand has finally set its sights on the rest of the country. H&H has now expanded with both corporate and franchise locations in locales as distant as Santa Monica, CA and Boca Raton, FL. And as it prepares to launch in Mandarin on March 5, the bagel brand also has several other locales in mind for future locations.
Headed up by franchisee Josh Witt, the Mandarin store is celebrating its grand opening with tote bags and gift card for the first 250 customers. Witt told What Now on Friday that that he has high expectations for the launch.
“The launch at the first location [in St. Johns] was amazing,” Witt said. “I expect this one to be great too. We’ll be soft-opening on Monday, with our grand opening on Thursday.”
Hailing from New York’s Tri-State Area, Witt is long-acquainted with H&H Bagels (his go-to order is the Bacon, Egg & Cheese on an Everything Bagel, if you’re wondering) and personally acquainted with some of the bagel experts who run the bagel brand. Once H&H began launching new locations in South Florida, Witt saw an opportunity and jumped on it.
With the Mandarin location making two stores in the area, Witt is planning to open another three. Asked where H&H is headed next, Witt listed Jacksonville Beach and Nocatee as under consideration, although nothing has been finalized yet.
Be sure to stop by H&H Bagels when it opens next week at 10025 Jan Jose Blvd!
