Flying Fish, the fast-casual seafood eatery founded by restaurateurs Shannon Wynne and Larry Richardson is now open at 4032 Preston Road in the former Dickey’s BBQ space. Inspired by the East Texas seafood joints on area lakes and especially Caddo Lake, Flying Fish has eleven outposts throughout Texas and Arkansas.

Offerings include grilled plates prepared traditional, snappy or with garlic butter, crab, oysters and shrimp, fried catfish, fish fillets and Southern specialties such as po’ boys, jambalaya, grits and gumbo. Ice cold beer, wine and margaritas are also available.

Daily specials include All You Can Eat Catfish on Wednesdays ($22.95) and “The Preacher’s Special” – $1.50 oysters all-day every Sunday.  Kids Boats with choice of hamburger, catfish, jumbo shrimp, chicken strips or chicken sandwich served with fries and hushpuppies are available for children 12 and under ($6.95).

Flying Fish is home to the “Billy Bass Adoption Wall”, promising to house, shelter, love and protect each adopted Billy Bass.  Bring in your “Take Me to the River” crooner and receive a free basket of catfish and get your name on the wall next to the beloved Billy Bass.  The “Liars Wall” celebrates great moments in angling history submitted by Flying Fish fans eager to share their fishing lore.

With locations in AddisonArlingtonDallas – Irving BoulevardFort WorthGarland – FirewheelPlanoPreston Center and The Sound at Cypress Waters, Flying Fish opens daily at 11am. For additional information, hours of operation and menus go to www.flyingfishinthe.net.
