A health and wellness-focused eatery is set to open in downtown Tacoma this summer.

Eternal Soul Bowl, owned by Jewel Randolph, will open its second location at 767 Market St., joining its flagship spot in Sumner.

“It had been something that I wanted to do, but I just didn’t know where. I was letting the universe bring me the perfect spot. I knew it would be dropped in my lap. I just had that intuitive feeling,” Randolph told What Now Seattle.

She continued, “Sure enough, the project developers of this space, they reached out because they have a huge mission of bringing Tacoma back to life. They thought it would be perfect to provide a healthy meal for the locals and people in the apartments.”

Eternal Soul Bowl is known for its smoothies, avocado toast and acai bowls.

Signature creations include the “Full Moon,” with strawberries, raspberries, mango, coconut, chia seeds, bee pollen and honey; the “Buddhalicious,” with mango, banana, raspberries, pomegranate, coconut, chia seeds, hemp, almonds and a drizzle of honey; and Randolph’s personal favorite, the “Third Eye.”

“I just love the Third Eye bowl. It has raspberry, kiwi, hemp seeds, cacao, almond butter, agave–really healthy stuff. It synergistically creates the perfect crunch and the perfect bowl. I like the ones where they have superfood in them,” she said.

The Tacoma location plans to expand its menu with new toast and bowl options while adding its own distinctive touches to the interior.

“I’m definitely going to be adding some Tacoma flair to it. It’s going to be a little bit of a different vibe. Tacoma is very vintagey, we’ve got antique row down the road, so I want to bring a bit of that vintage nature into the space. The building was built in the early 1900s; it’s historic, so I want to keep that aesthetic,” she said.

Future plans for Eternal Soul Bowl include launching a non-alcoholic elixir bar in the same space within a year of its grand opening.

“Downtown Tacoma is bar central. As of recent, a lot of people are going non-alcoholic. This is the perfect opportunity to bring my niche, which is health and wellness,” Randolph said. “We’re definitely going to be using different superfoods that can really make you have that nice, relaxed feeling, like ashwagandha, macas and gaba.”

Randolph is looking forward to expanding her brand.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity. I feel like the whole brand is a piece of who I am. I knew I wanted it to be kind of spiritual and hippie. I’ve always had a little hippie nature at heart. I’m excited to provide the community something new,” she said.

The team aims to open by this summer if the build-out and construction go as planned. Visit the Eternal Soul Bowl website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
