The DFW dining scene is incredibly vibrant and active, attracting a diverse range of concepts. Everything from independent ventures to massive brands to expanding chains have long sought out homes in the greater Dallas area. Maman, a French-inspired cafe and bakery headquartered in New York, has shown a particular interest in North Dallas recently, after making its debut in the region late last year. The DFW’s reception has been warm, and the eatery has a new location in the pipeline, this one in the Design District, reports Dallas Business Journal.
The new storefront, which will ultimately be Maman’s fourth DFW location, is opening as a part of the Seam mixed-use development. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation pertaining to the cafe shows that the 1444 Oak Lawn Avenue, Suite 190 space will span 2,467 square feet.
A precise opening timeline is not presently available for Maman’s the Seam location, however company co-founder Elisa Marshall states that the eatery should be opening in late 2026 or early 2027. The TDLR paperwork supports this projection; it states that work is supposed to begin on the project on May 4 of this year and should wrap by November 16.
Maman, which focuses on delicious and welcoming interpretations of cafe and bakery favorites including soups, sandwiches, and pastries, first entered the DFW market in the Preston Center last November. It has locations planned for Lakewood and East Dallas, both slated to open before the storefront in the Seam.
