“In Istanbul, whether you’re at a fancy rooftop restaurant or a food stall under a bridge, the best dining overlooks the Bosphorus,” said coverage published by Creative Loafing Tampa Bay this week. “Now, Tampa Bay is getting a taste.”

News of the St. Pete opening of Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine has been everywhere in the last week or so. The restaurant launched its first Tampa Bay location with a restaurant on South Howard Avenue last year, and with the EDGE District opening it has doubled its Tampa Bay footprint.

But that’s not all: Bosphorous is planning to double it again. Plenty have noted that the brand’s next stop is in Wesley Chapel. However, an additional nugget also showed up in coverage by the Tampa Bay Times recently: Bosphorous also has its sights set on Sarasota, and it’s currently scouting locations there.

That means Tampa Bay could quickly see its Bosphorous count rise from one to four different locations.

The Entrées menu at Bosphorus ranges from Chicken dishes like Chicken Sis Kebap (Hand-carved fresh chicken breast marinated in our chef’s blend of unique seasonings and chargrilled) and Chicken Adana Kebap (Grilled skewers of hand-ground chicken seasoned with fresh garlic, red bell peppers, light hot peppers & parsley) to Lamb Beef Dishes like Special Beyti Kebap (Hand-carved lamb flavored with garlic, hot Turkish peppers & parsley, then chargrilled on skewers and wrapped in our special pita. Topped with house-made tomato and yogurt sauces).

There are also seafood choices like Grilled Sea Bass, Atlantic Salmon, and Karides Güveç (Fresh shrimp sautéed with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, garlic and herbs, then topped with kasar cheese in a rich cream sauce. Served with rice pilaf).

The site of Bosphorous Sarasota has yet to be announced but one thing is for sure: Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine is taking the Floridan west coast’s restaurant scene by storm!
