The DFW is getting a new home for authentic Italian cuisine. North Italia, known for its handmade pastas and pizzas, has filed papers to open a location in Frisco, though work is not set to begin until next year.

The eatery will be opening at 14300 Wentwood Avenue as part of the Fields West development. North Italia will occupy an 8,400 square foot restaurant space. The paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation describes the work planned for the restaurant and the intended end result as “tenant improvement to install a full service restaurant with indoor/outdoor bar, guest restrooms and covered patio area.”

It will be a while before Frisco residents can begin marking North Italia’s progress. The project is set to commence on May 1 of 2027 and estimated to wrap by December 1 of that same year. This does not provide an absolute or comprehensive opening timeline for the restaurant, but does suggest it likely won’t be customer ready before early 2028.

North Italia’s menu offers a range of Italian favorites, including pizza, stromboli, pasta, and salad. The website offers this tantalizing peak at what’s in store for Frisco diners: “At North Italia, we’re passionate about more than just our crave-worthy Italian food menu. We put our all into every detail, creating an environment that lets you know you’re in for something special. Every day there is a new delicious favorite made from scratch, like our Chef’s daily pizzas, waiting to be discovered and devoured. A tempting assortment of wines, beer, and house-made cocktails give you endless ways to treat yourself. From the moment you walk through our doors, to your last scoops of budino at the end of a satisfying meal, you’ll know you’re in good hands.”
