Homestead is about to get delicious smoothies when Tropical Smoothie Cafe opens at 2804 NW Eighth Street in the summer of 2026.
Franchise owner Davida Rolle tells What Now Miami that she chose to open the shop in Homestead because of the opportunity. “The area is growing, and there aren’t many shops of this type around here,” she says.
When it opens, the shop will offer its signature smoothies like the Island Green with spinach, kale, pineapple, banana, and mango; and the Peanut Paradise with peanut butter, banana, non-fat yogurt, and protein. The shop also sells a wide variety of bowls, wraps, salads, flatbreads, and ‘dillas (its own version of quesadillas). Tropical Smoothie Cafe can also cater events and offers box lunches, food trays, and smoothie bundles for parties and meetings.
The Florida-born Tropical Smoothie Cafe was founded in 1997 by Eric and Delora Jenrich, along with David Walker as a single beach-themed smoothie shop in Destin. Now, there are more than 1,600 locations nationwide. The community-driven cafe offers a rewards program for loyal customers that includes a birthday surprise, and has fundraising opportunities for schools and local organizations.
