One of America’s most popular ice cream brands is continuing its Florida expansion with a new location in Miami. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is set to open a scoop shop in Mary Brickell Village on March 19. Along with the new opening, it is also launching a frozen yogurt lineup for the first time.

To celebrate the Brickell Village opening, the ice cream chain is also partnering with COYO Taco for a limited time.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Expands to Brickell, Adds Frozen Yogurt

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream’s new Brickell location is preparing to open its doors on March 19 with a grand celebration. Following its recent openings in Miami Beach and Palm Beach County, Florida, the new location will introduce a concept that combines both ice cream and frozen yogurt in one store.

According to co-founder and CEO Ben Van Leeuwen, the company has been developing its frozen yogurt recipes for several years. The Brickell location will be the first place where customers can enjoy both products together under one roof.

He shared, “Over the past year, we started seeing incredible demand for frozen yogurt, so we decided to lean in and do it the Van Leeuwen way—applying the same sourcing ethos we bring to our ice cream. That means using organic A2 Bulgarian yogurt, shade-grown ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha, and the finest pistachios from Sicily blended with kataifi.”

Customers can also mix the flavors and add a variety of toppings such as strawberries, toasted coconut, mochi, chocolate curls, pistachio kataifi, and cookies-and-cream crumble.

Grand Opening Specials and Local Collaboration

The launch will also feature a special collaboration with COYO Taco. The partnership introduces a limited-time Cajeta Sundae, topped with salted caramel, whipped cream, and churro pieces.

Alongside frozen yogurt, the store will serve more than 25 ice cream flavors that have helped build the brand’s reputation.

These include options like Honeycomb, Pistachio made with Sicilian pistachios, Marionberry Cheesecake, and Earl Grey Tea. Vegan selections will also be available.

The new Brickell location marks a new milestone in the expansion journey of the Van Leeuwen ice cream brand.
