Tony’s Italian Delicatessen is known for bringing authentic Italian flavors and generous portions to the table. Well, now the table is set for a big development of good eats and comfortable vibes on the ground floor of City Place 1.
A press release announcing the upcoming opening details that Tony’s Italian Deli will open a nearly 2,000-square-foot deli at 1700 City Plaza Drive this summer.
“We are grateful to be part of the City Place community,” owner of Tony’s Italian Deli, Lori Hutchinson, said in the press release.
“We feel incredibly blessed by the path that brought us here, and working with the team at City Place has been a wonderful experience. They have a clear vision and truly stand behind their development.”
What Now Houston attempted to reach out to Hutchinson to find out more details to share with our readers about this exciting new development, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Known for its stuffed end-to-end ‘Carnegie’ sandwiches — named after beloved Italian American icons — Tony’s has become a destination for indulgent handhelds served on its signature Italian rolls,” the press release reads.
Menu items include classic cold subs like the Muffuletta, hot subs like The Devito, which has genoa salami, ham, pepperoni, marinara sauce, and fresh mozzarella, and a host of salads, sides, and sweets.
“We are thrilled to add Tony’s Italian Deli to the City Place tenant mix,” Vice President of CDC Houston, Andrew Giammalva, said in the press release.
“Their strong reputation and loyal following are a testament to their high-quality sandwiches, and they bring exactly the kind of energy we want in the community.”
The business and lifestyle hub is expected to welcome the new deli this year.
