With one location already open in Nashville and another set to open in Charleston this spring (as What Now Charleston reported earlier this month), elevated-yet-accessible Italian restaurant V Modern Italian is already making its mark on the American restaurant scene.
And Fast Fine Restaurant Group, the company behind V Modern Italian, isn’t skipping a beat: after the springtime launch in Charleston, V Modern Italian will make its Tampa debut this summer, Fast Fine Restaurant Group CEO Ned Lyerly told What Now on Thursday.
The restaurant, which also has locations in Europe, makes a reference, the What Now Charleston coverage points out, to the number 5 (V): the number of senses. It’s not only about flavor, in other words, but a full, well-rounded experience.
“I wouldn’t really consider us a ‘chain,’” Lyerly told What Now. “We have multiple locations, but we consider ourselves more of an experiential concept. We adjust to the market and create a unique experience.”
Accordingly, Lyerly says, you can expect to find some favorites from the Nashville menu at the Tampa restaurant, but Tampa diners are in for some surprises as well. “We’re continuously evolving our menu, so the core menu will be the same, but we’re always looking to evolve and elevate in new places.”
“Blending culinary innovation with authentic Italian cuisine, cultural heritage, and contemporary design, V promises a redefined dining experience rooted in both tradition and forward-thinking creativity,” another representative told What Now on Thursday. “Collaborating on the Charleston menu is Michelin starred Chef Stefano Ciotti, whose vision guides V’s modern interpretation of classic Italian cuisine. Guests can expect a menu rooted in authenticity, featuring antipasti, fresh made pastas, main courses and wood fired elements. Familiar flavors will be presented with refined technique and contemporary flair.”
