Meijer will open a new grocery format store in Rochester Hills, Michigan, on May 6. The 47,000-square-foot store will expand access to fresh groceries and everyday essentials in the area.
Meijer’s Third Grocery Store to Open in Rochester Hills
The new location at 1495 N. Rochester Rd. in Rochester Hills is the third Meijer Grocery store in Michigan, according to PRNewswire. It adds to the other 125 popular supercenters and market format stores across the state. The store will offer the same quality customers expect from the Midwest-based retailer.
“This new Meijer Grocery location represents our continued investment in bringing value and convenience to customers right where they live and work,” said Maureen Mitchell, Vice President of the East Michigan region for Meijer.
“Designed for convenience, the streamlined format makes it easy for customers to quickly find the fresh food and other essentials they need at the lowest prices every day,” Mitchell added.
New Store Details
Meijer debuted its first grocery format in 2023 with the launch of two Meijer Grocery stores in Southeast Michigan. The store simplifies the shopping experience with all the categories available for customers who need to restock their homes during weekly trips. Shoppers will find fresh produce, along with seafood, meat, and bakery offerings.
Other grocery staples include a card and floral area, health and beauty care, pet supplies, deli departments, and a full-service pharmacy.
Along with fresh groceries, the store will provide access to Meijer’s digital tools, as per PRNewswire. These include mPerks, Shop & Scan, and home delivery and pickup options.
The Rochester Hills location has hourly, part-time, and full-time opportunities available for people interested in growing as a part of the retail team.
Enhancing Community Access
Meijer has employed over 40,000 team members in stores across the state and often supports events and causes. Its efforts include partnering with Gleaners Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan to address hunger.
