What Now reported back in September 2024 on plans for Slim Charmer, a cocktail bar from Rob Reinsmith and Matt Kaye, to open in St. Pete. Kaye, who has also been behind concepts like The Bends and Wild Child, is now preparing to launch another new cocktail bar concept in St. Pete. It’s called Easy Tiger.

What Now confirmed news of the opening of the new cocktail bar with Kaye on Wednesday and is still awaiting more details.

The word is already out, however: described as a “hi-fi listening lounge and cocktail bar” in coverage by St. Pete Rising, Easy Tiger will open at 915 First Ave N, in St. Petersburg’s EDGE District, next month.

“The space features a carefully tuned hi-fi audio system built around Klipsch Heritage speakers paired with McIntosh amplification, allowing vinyl DJ sets to fill the room with warm, immersive sound without overpowering conversation,” the coverage says, describing Easy Tiger as a venue “designed to function less like a traditional bar and more like a listening lounge, where music plays a central role in shaping the experience.”

In other words, while it’s a music-focused concept, Easy Tiger is not another night club with thudding house beats crowding out conversation; rather it’s a “space where guests can relax, socialize, and experience music in a more intentional way.”

Stay tuned for more details as What Now is awaiting them from the Easy Tiger team!
