After launching their new smash burger concept Byte earlier this year, brothers Ahmed, Ali, and Matt Mansour are losing no time capitalizing on the instant popularity of their brand. Next stop: Westshore.

Creative Loafing Tampa Bay reported last week on plans for Byte to launch its second location: a food truck now open at 301 Westshore Blvd.

The food truck is temporary for Westshore, as it’s only filling in until construction on a new brick-and-mortar restaurant in Westshore is finished. Then, the coverage says, the food truck will move on to a new spot.

“We’re not here to reinvent burgers. We’re here to make them hit differently,” says the Byte website. “Byte is where the cravings bring you in, and the energy makes you stay. No frills. Just fire. Fast hands, and a space that feels like your kind of place.”

“No frills” is right. The streamlined menu features the House Burger, the Classic Burger, and the Truffle Burger, with sides like fries, nuggets, onion straws, and—for something sweet—a cookie. That’s it: just what works.

What Now is awaiting more information about Byte’s Westshore brick-and-mortar, so stay tuned for updates!
