SOLON Corporation’s Chapter 11 filing comes more than two months after it announced the completion of a behind-the-meter solar project at Tucson Water’s CAVSARP site. In a January 6, 2026, press release, the company said it installed an 8.75-megawatt single-axis tracker at the facility.

Describing it as one of the largest installations in Arizona, the company said this project was completed with no upfront costs to the City of Tucson. Around 16,275 solar modules were mounted on a single-axis tracker system in a 1.16-million-square-foot area.

Amid these developments, SOLON Corporation’s bankruptcy filing reflects its efforts to reorganize its finances while operations continue as normal.
