Just in time for summer, Sure Shot Burger, the longstanding smash-hit smashburger food cart, is making its debut in the brick-and-mortar space. The restaurant will open early this June at 5011 NE 42nd Ave, owner Nick Jarvis told What Now on Monday.

The menu that has made Sure Shot Popular is sticking with all your favorite items, in keeping with the tried-and-true wisdom that nothing that isn’t broken needs fixing. Expect, as coverage by PDX Monthly reports, “smashburgers, Impossible smashburgers, and fries—as well as sides like crispy Brussels sprouts and chicken nuggets.”

“Really, the plan is just to add the beverage component,” Jarvis told What Now. “Beer, wine, milkshakes, slushies—plus we’ll be adding more rotating vegetable sides.”

Sure Shot’s burgers include the Double (double meat, double cheese, chopped onion, dill pickle, Franz bun, special sauce), the Single, and the Diablo (smoked peppers, onion, Cool Ranch, Diablo sauce). Alongside these are fries and Nuggets topped with Cool Ranch dust.

After almost six years of work, there’s a sense, with this opening, of an arrival at a long-term milestone.

“It’s exciting,” Jarvis said. “There’s always this goal. The food cart was great, but it will definitely be nice to have four walls and a ceiling!”
