Lucky Patty Smash Burgers is rolling out a huge change for the brand. The San Antonio-based popular food truck is moving into a permanent home base and is set to open its first brick-and-mortar location in the Maverick Building. According to a recently filed permit, Lucky Patty Smash Burgers is slated to open at 600 N Presa St.
Construction is expected to start at the end of this month and wrap up by September of this year. The $1.2 million project consists of renovating a 2,000-square-foot fast-casual restaurant with a commercial kitchen and dining.
“Lucky Patty isn’t just a burger. She’s Patty: a character, a personality, a vibe. Patty is that reminder that simple things can be incredible when they’re done right,” the Lucky Patty Smash Burgers website reads.
“She’s juicy, bold, and comes with enough attitude to turn any day into a good day. The world needs fewer complications and more burgers that make you smile.”
At the helm of this exciting new addition to the community is the Richaud Hospitality Group, which also owns Chill N Nitrogen Ice Cream.
Luis Richaud, the CFO of Richaud Hospitality Group, is listed as the tenant on the permit for the Lucky Patty Smash Burgers set to open in the Maverick Building.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Richuad to find out more details about the upcoming opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Launched as a food truck that roamed the streets of San Antonio, Lucky Patty focuses on the classic and beloved smash burger method, giving a bit of bite to an already juicy burger.
The brand cooks up and dishes out four types of smash burgers, including the Kevin Bacon, which comes with Nueske’s Bacon, a single patty, American Cheese, and Jalapeño Jam. Lucky Patty Smash Burgers also offers fries, either regular or loaded, and a variety of soft drinks and milkshakes.
Lucky Patty Smash Burgers is set to open in the Maverick Building at 600 N Presa St. by this fall.
