Layne’s Chicken Fingers is set to open a new $1.1 million restaurant in New Braunfels. According to a recently filed permit, Layne’s is expected to open at 2564 Loop 337.
The new Layne’s Chicken Fingers will sit at a whopping 2,430 square feet off of Loop 337 near a burgeoning retail destination in New Braunfels. The permit details that construction on the private land where the new eatery will open is slated to start in mid-July and wrap up before the end of November. Barring any construction or permitting issues, the new Layne’s Chicken Fingers spot to come to New Braunfels will open before the end of the year.
What Now San Antonio confirmed the opening with Layne’s Chicken Fingers CEO, Garrett Reed, via text.
“It’s cool to have an Aggie opening an Aggie brand,” Reed said.
Reed shared that San Antonio Layne’s Chicken Fingers franchisee, Dylan White, would be at the helm of the New Braunfels opening and its operations.
What Now San Antonio recently spoke with White about his 14-store agreement with the fried chicken tenders brand. We reached out to White for details about the New Braunfels opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Layne’s Chicken Fingers first hatched in 1994, as the website details. Reed shared that he and his family bought the brand in 2017. After 4-5 years, the family felt that the brand was ready to franchise, so Layne’s Chicken Fingers began franchising in 2020-2021.
All Layne’s Chicken Fingers locations have cooked up and dished out the same simple yet mouth-watering menu since the brand’s inception. Of course, the chicken fingers are the bedrock of this hen house. Customers can get them in a sandwich, in a wrap, or in a box meal on its own. Layne’s Chicken Fingers come spicy or original with a selection of six different sauce options to pair them with.

But there’s more than chicken at the Layne’s Chicken Fingers, which also serves grilled cheese sandwiches and cravable milkshakes.
Layne’s Chicken Fingers is set to open in New Braunfels at 2564 Loop 337 by this winter.
