A popular DFW brewery is preparing to launch its next act in an up-and-coming Frisco development. Second Rodeo Brewing has signed on to bring its amazing beer and great atmosphere to Firefly Park next year, reports Dallas Business Journal.
Second Rodeo’s inclusion in the sprawling 217-acre mixed-use development was announced on April 20. Given the freshness of the news, several salient details remain elusive-a precise address, how much square footage the establishment will occupy, or how-if at all-the location will deviate from Second Rodeo’s current Fort Worth location.
Fortunately, locals have a rough timeline available for how long they will have to wait to check out the concept’s new home for themselves. As of right now, Second Rodeo is estimating and aiming for a fall of 2027 opening.
Founded by Jason Boso-the hospitality visionary behind Brain Storm Shelter-Second Rodeo has become a Fort Worth favorite thanks to its great food, amazing beer, and frequent live music. Boso explains that the city’s development makes it a natural fit for Second Rodeo’s next home, saying: “Frisco is growing quickly and deserves a destination that grows with it, making Firefly Park a natural fit.”
While Second Rodeo, of course, has an impressive line of beers overseen by brew master Dennis Wehrmann, the establishment’s menu is enough to keep customers coming back in and of itself. The website explains: “Our founder and owner is a bonafide chef who’s been around high-end restaurants all around Texas—but he’d tell you a damn good burger and live music beats that high-end tweezer food any day. Hence, our menu is all the most popular bar staples, but made better. Come try for yourself.”
