Bojangles is set to open its second Alamo City location on the Southwest Side, bringing its signature chicken and biscuits to 3003 SW Military Drive near Somerset Road, as reported by MYSA.
The new outpost is scheduled to officially open its doors at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, and the owners are Terrence and Kristina Thames.
The upcoming debut follows the brand’s first San Antonio opening three years ago, which drew large crowds eager to get a first bite. With demand still strong, the expansion signals continued growth for the popular chain in the area.
To celebrate the grand opening, the first 25 customers through the doors will receive a $25 Bojangles gift card along with free branded merchandise. In addition, 10 lucky guests will have the chance to win a year of free Bojangles.
Ahead of opening day, the restaurant will host a special friends-and-family preview event dedicated to local first responders. Taking place from noon to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 20, the event will welcome police officers, firefighters, EMTs and medics as a gesture of appreciation for their service.
The opening is intended to go beyond food, serving as a tribute to local first responders while introducing the brand’s Southern hospitality and signature flavours to the community, according to president of operations Terrence Thames.
Founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bojangles has grown to more than 850 locations across the United States. While ownership details for the new San Antonio location have not been disclosed, the opening adds to the brand’s ongoing expansion and gives locals another spot to enjoy its well-known menu.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the owners for comment, but they were unavailable at the time of publication and and this article may be updated.
