The Memphis chicken scene is adding another feather to its already impressive poultry cap. Area entrepreneur Moe Ayesh is opening a new concept called Delux Chicken in the Cherry Plaza shopping center, reports Daily Memphian.
This new chicken frontier comes as a result of the previous occupants of the 4340 American Way storefront declining to renew their lease. Ayesh, the owner of the building, opted to take control of the space and add new menu items to create Delux Chicken.
Delux Chicken has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of April 22. The filed paperwork offers a little insight into the restaurant, where the menu is described as featuring “wings, sandwiches, seafood, and salads. prepared fresh daily.”
The form further stipulates that the 1,500 square foot restaurant will have an occupant load of 20 and will be serving alcoholic beverages.
