DMV beer fans may feel a little tingle of excitement building in the bases of their spines. DC-based concept Dacha Beer Garden is getting closer to making its Silver Spring debut, as demolition begins on the previous denizen of its next home, reports Source of the Spring.

The demolished structure in question? Denizens Brewing Co., located at 1115 East-West Highway. Denizens has been closed since 2023, so a new occupant will be more than welcome on the lot.

Locals have been anticipating Dacha’s Silver Spring’s arrival for quite some time; the beer garden first announced its intention to open in the area in March of last year. While an updated opening timeline is not presently available, co-owner Ilya Alter previously mentioned that the concept is hoping to be customer-ready by this summer.

Dacha Beer Garden is not a stranger to the DMV; the eatery has locations in Shaw and Navy Yard.

While customers will, of course, be excited to sample Dacha’s selection of beers, the food menu is also certain to satisfy patrons. Spring Garden visitors will be able to enjoy a range of wraps, fried treats and Bavarian-inspired favorites including bratwurst and soft pretzels, alongside more common bar fare like pizza, nachos, and burgers.
