Mission Coffee Co is set to open a second location at 125 E Woodruff Ave on May 4 2026. While speaking to What Now Columbus, the co-owner Matt Roberson confirmed with the publication that they were indeed launching the new concept on May 4.
He expressed that they were “grateful” to be part of the campus community. Roberson also revealed that the Ohio based loaction will have an “extended food offering,” where the café will focus on sourdough bagels and breakfast sandwiches, which will be available at the new location.
The new campus-area café will feature the same espresso-forward menu as its original location, including lattes, cappuccinos, cold brews, cortados and Americanos. Signature offerings include drinks such as a vanilla spice latte, chocolate cold brew, lavender latte and salted maple cortado.
Alongside its beverage menu, the shop will serve pastries, breakfast wraps and oatmeal cream pies, with an expanded food selection at the new location.
The new location, according to Roberson, was chosen based on customer connection, and they look forward to deepening that as they focus on the campus area. He added that the process of opening the second location was similar to the first, with a focus on maintaining the original shop’s ambience.
“We are very personable, and we have a close-knit team. We treat everybody like people, whether they are behind the counter or in front of it. It will be a warm and inviting space for people to study and hang out,” said Matt, who told the publication.
He hopes that customers see it as a place where they can come often and feel “welcomed.”
The brand first launched in 2012 at 11 Price Ave., roughly a 10-minute drive from the upcoming site. That original shop closed in 2020 during COVID-19-related shutdowns before reopening in 2024. In addition to its café locations, Mission Coffee Co. also operates a roasting facility at 2060 S. High St. in south Columbus.
