Uptown Taco located on Tulip Avenue in Floral Park, NY, was a local favorite spot. It served Mexican dishes like tacos and featured a relaxed beach-style atmosphere, perfect for casual dinners and happy hour gatherings. Bill and Lou founded the restaurant in 2020, during the pandemic.
In an Instagram post, the owners announced the closure. “Uptown Taco was more than a business; it was a dream we got to live because of you,” the owners wrote.
The owners thanked the community and said, “Thank you for every moment, every visit, and every memory. Thank you to our staff—thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the best work culture to be a part of.”

What Led to Closure
In the post, the owners explained that they have sold the restaurant. They stated, “With heavy hearts, we are announcing that we are in the process of selling the business and will be closing permanently on Sunday, May 10th.”
