Creations Coffee Co. is entering a new chapter in Walnut Cove following a recent ownership transition, according to a previous Triad Business Journal report.
Justin and Ashley Duncan have recently taken over ownership of the faith-based coffee shop and plan to continue the community-focused mission that has helped the business establish a loyal local following.
“Creations Coffee Company is about more than coffee — it’s about community, connection, and creating a place where people feel welcomed and encouraged,” Justin Duncan told WhatNow Charlotte. “Everything we do is brewed with purpose and served with heart.”
According to the Triad Business Journal, the ownership transition follows several years of growth for the business. Founder Faye Wilhelm launched Creations Coffee Co. in 2022 from a 6-by-12-foot trailer before expanding into a 2,000-square-foot storefront at 137 N. Main St. in downtown Walnut Cove in 2024.
The publication reported that the coffee shop was nearing closure before the Duncans stepped in to acquire the business, giving the local concept a second chance under new ownership. Rather than introducing a new brand, the couple plans to build on the foundation already established by the business.
According to the company’s social media pages, Creations Coffee Co. serves coffee, specialty beverages, pastries, and light fare. The business has also hosted community events and gatherings, helping establish it as a destination for residents and visitors in Walnut Cove.
As the business moves forward, the Duncans are focused on preserving the atmosphere that helped make Creations Coffee Co. a local gathering place while continuing to invest in its future growth and long-term success.
