Trader Joe’s is opening a new store in the West Palm Beach area.
According to the Trader Joe’s website, store 796 will open at 8111 South Dixie Highway in Lake Worth Beach. No official timeline has been set, but the ever-elusive grocery store chain usually only posts about a store location when construction is already well underway. The site mentions that the Trader Joe’s in West Palm Beach aims to be a neighborhood grocery store with a bountiful array of goodies such as mandarin orange chicken and cold brew coffee concentrate. In addition, the store offers staples like milk, eggs, and fresh produce.
For years, West Palm Beach has been trying to attract the grocery chain even promising to rename the city to “Trader Joe’s” back in 2012.
The adventure-themed grocery store also sells fresh flowers and plants, a good selection of wine and beer, and snack items. In addition, trader Joe’s is known for its ever-rotating stock, making each trip to the store a place for exploration.
The Monrovia, California-based company was founded by Joe Coulombe in Pasadena in 1967. To date, there are more than 600 locations throughout the country, with the chain growing strategically rather than quickly. Each opening continues to be a cause for celebration in a community.
