Smoothie King is headed to Seguin, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The smoothie franchise is planned for a 1,330-square-foot space at Schaefer Commercial Retail, located at 1300 State Highway TX-46 in Guadalupe County. Project documents show the work will involve the interior finish-out of an existing shell space to accommodate the new tenant.

Construction is expected to begin on June 22, 2026, with completion slated for February 22, 2027. The renovation is estimated to cost $200,000 and is privately funded by the tenant.

Mark Espinoza confirmed to WhatNow San Antonio that he was the franchise owner of the upcoming concept.

Project records list Prerna LLC as the property owner. San Antonio-based ArchitecturaSA Inc. is serving as the design firm for the project.

Founded in 1973, Smoothie King has grown into one of the largest smoothie chains in the world, with more than 1,200 locations across the United States and internationally. The brand is known for its menu of smoothies crafted with a variety of fruits, vegetables, protein blends, and nutritional supplements, catering to guests seeking fitness-focused, wellness-oriented, and meal-replacement options.

The company’s menu includes categories such as Fitness Blends, Wellness Blends, Feel Energized Blends, and Manage Weight Blends, alongside smoothie bowls, wellness shots, and snacks. In recent years, Smoothie King has continued expanding throughout Texas, where demand for healthier grab-and-go dining options remains strong.

The upcoming Seguin location is expected to provide residents with another convenient option for smoothies and nutritional beverages as the city continues to experience commercial growth along the State Highway 46 corridor.
